About Nicki Minaj:
Onika Maraj (Born December 8, 1984) recognized as Nicki Minaj is a chick rapper from Southside Jamaica, Queens, NewYork. She grew upbeat in a disturbed home, with a father on drugs and a stressed single mother. Despite her excited environment, Minaj went on to graduate from LaGuardia High School in Manhattan anywhere she studied singing and acting.
Working as an organizational assistant, she devoted all of her free time to pursuing a potential music career. Nicki Minaj started off singing, from environment vocals, to hooks for limited rappers. Minaj wanted to “stand out” more, from the common dime-a-dozen young wannabe singer and began writing raps. Starting out as the solitary female in a group, (which she left in 2006)
Nicki rapidly divided out and was noticed on Myspace by Dirty Money CEO Fendi. Who signed her and put her on the front of his Dirty Money Label, and his The Come Up DVD.
Appearing on The Carter Edition of the DVD series, Minaj was noticed via rapper Lil’ Wayne who at once called Fendi to talk meeting Nicki. He was convinced by not only her diverse style of rapping, but her ability to full on write her own material that she was perfect to be the face of his Young Money label. The two collaborated on mixtape styled remakes of tracks such as “Sunshine”, “Big Spender” and additional recently a song entitled “Higher than a Kite” which uses T.I.’s “My Swag” beat. In April of 2007, she released her first mixtape entitled Playtime is Over. Where she posed as a Barbie doll on the cover. Lil’ Wayne appeared on the track “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”.
Nearly a year later, Minaj released her following mixed cd titled Sucka Free. Controversy bordered this as Nicki paid mark of respect to rapper Lil’ Kim by posing with her legs increase for promotional posters. She describes it as something to “pull people in”, so that they would listen to what she had to say. Nicki Minaj graced the pages of the July issue of the XXL magazine giving a brief overview of her life up to that point in time.
Originally with her genuine last name Maraj, Nicki boasts she on track calling herself Minaj because she started “eating chicks”, with her vicious rap skills. Its pronounced as Menage, only spelled to compliment her real last name with a J instead of the traditional spelling.
Aside from her creative moniker, Minaj also uses an collection of Aka aliases to depict herself, such as; “Nicki Lewenski”, and “AKA Sit resting on your preferred rapper’s face”

Nicki Minaj bio:
Rising within the Ranks: Nicki Minaj went from working at Red Lobster toward being the scorching up to date face of womanly hip-hop in fewer occasion than it takes to go to college. She’s as much an iconic sexy figure for her standout manner and naked beauty as she is for tearing up the mic beside your favorite MCs. Her rabid following has bought into Minaj’s total package. The hype is backed by true talent, and she’s unique and feisty. And while every photograph you see in the press personifies her glamorous life as a Young Money superstar, Minaj is no different from every other MC who has ascended the heights of their genre. The native of New York’s Jamaica, Queens, region started at the underside and had to grind her way to the top.
First discovered by Lil Wayne resting on the street-DVD series On the Come Up, Nicki couldn’t obtain any love from DJs in her hometown, so she moved to Atlanta. It was there she recorded some verses for Weezy’s Gangsta Grillz: Dedication 3 mixtape — singing and rapping on songs such as “Still I Rise” with the rest of Wayne’s then-mostly unknown crop of new-fangled talent, including Drake. Nicki also aligned herself with Gucci Mane, addition greatly to her street credibility and profile.
While her sexy figure was our first intuition of Nicki (who can forget that bathing-suit photo in which she paid homage to Lil’ Kim?), Minaj actually found her own lane during the spring of last year with the Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape, which she put jointly with Atlanta’s DJ Holiday. Nick showed us she has boundless personality on the mic, bringing forth her Barbie guise and all the charismatic outfits, rhyme flows and verbal inflections that go along with it. Records from the tape — “Kill the DJ,” “I Get Crazy” with Lil Wayne and “Itty Bitty Piggy” — bubbled on the streets for months, allowing Nicki to hit the club circuit with her own shows.
In the summer of last year, Nick was spotlighted on the Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival, and by the fall, seemingly all the guys in song hunted to get with her. Minaj’s career job went to the next level when she started turning in show-stealing cameos, which have carried well into this year. Diddy, Robin Thicke, Ludacris, Sean Garrett, Usher, Jadakiss, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane, Sean Kingston and, of course, her Young Money relations all know that she’s developed into one of the most multitalented performers in hip-hop — and she still hasn’t released her debut album, which is due not on time this year.
Early Insight: “With [my debut] album, I think it’s more imperative that public get used to to seeing a feminine rapper again,” Nicki said. “People don’t even know what a female rapper does. We’re so not used to seeing it. We don’t get nominated. I need to work [the people] up to accepting a female rapper again and accepting my style and all of that — then the album will come.”
Blistering Ballistics: ” Now every these nude bitches wanna try and be my bestie/ But I take a left and leave ‘em hangin’ like a teste/ Trash talk to ‘em, then I put ‘em in a Hefty/ Runnin’ down the court/ I’m dunkin’ on ‘em, Lisa Leslie/ It’s goin’ down, basement/ ‘Friday the 13th,’ guess who’s playin’ Jason?/ Tuck yourself in, you improved hold on to ya teddy/ It’s ‘Nightmare on Elm Street,’ and guess who’s playin’ Freddy?” — on or after Ludacris’ “My Chick Bad”
Forecast: Nicki, who is what’s more a affiliatepart of the Diddy-led all-star Dream Team, didn’t get an devastating reply for her first appearance official single, “Massive Attack,” other than the misstep did nothing to hurt her popularity. Her follow-up, “Your Love,” is already a #1 hit (with no video yet!). It was a leaked track that the fans prized so much, program directors on radio were required to add it. Minaj is working on her yet-untitled first album with Young Money and Swizz Beatz. If she continues to attack her own tracks with the fervor she does on her guest appearances, the LP should be a hands-down winner.
